As a parent who loves Jesus and my child, I’m walking this path with my family.
We’ve navigated imperfectly. We’ve done some things well. We missed some things. We’ve had joys and pains, celebrations and hardships.
We have hurts. Our child has more.
Everyone’s carrying some collateral damage. Our church didn’t have resources for families like ours, and we’re left wondering how to hold onto the buckets of grace and truth, afraid of dropping one or the other.

I wish I could reach a hand of reassurance directly to you and your child.
I don’t know if we’ll ever understand the amount of courage it took for our children to reveal the most vulnerable aspect of their lives to us. Thank you, child, for trusting your parents enough to share with them. (Even if it was messy, you did it!)
Welcome…I think you’re both in the right place. I’m sure the Lord will stretch us as He teaches to walk this journey with grace. (Spoiler alert, parents AND kids need a boatload of the stuff.)

At Pride and Promises, we believe that every family’s journey is unique and precious.
Our mission is to provide both the resources and the reassurance that you need to foster a loving foundation to build (or restore) relationships between parent and child.
While upholding your faith and loving your child can feel conflicting, we’ll explore more than the seven common verses familiar to every LBGTQ+ kid who grew up in a Christian home.
We’ll seek biblical wisdom to walk this road well, no matter where our individual journeys land.
