I’m a proud wife and momma whose passion is to walk beside Christian parents of LGBTQ+ children in the middle of the messes of our God-gifted lives.

Pride & Promises to supports Christian parents of LGBTQ+ kids who want to hold onto their faith while wholeheartedly loving their LGBTQ+ child.

Through biblical guidance, practical resources, and compassionate support, I help parents find clarity to stay connected to their child and follow Jesus with grace and truth.

I'm a mom who has walked this road myself, and I help families navigate the questions, fears, faith tensons that arise when a child comes out.

My sweet spot has always been in coaching and mentoring young women, moms, wives and families, offering encouragement and guidance through everyday life and its challenges.

Driven by a profound dedication to my family, a gratitude for people, and a love for the one-anothers, my heart is to encourage other families in navigating the tangled up circumstances that don’t have linear solutions. We haven’t done it perfectly…you'll find my imperfections as you read the blogs.

My favorite people are my husband, Pete, our two daughters and their husbands, and our son...all who make our family better. Beyond treasuring my family, I’m a curriculum and freelance writer, ministry volunteer, fellow encourager and coffee lover. I love summer walks and winter fires.

When our son revealed his deeply held secret that he was gay, it left us reeling for a minute.

When our son came out as gay, our church offered minimal support for Christian families with LGBTQ+ children. After years of isolation, I created resources to help faith-based families build relationships with their LGBTQ+ kids.

Let me tell you,
I am a better person because of it.

Building a relationship with your LGBTQ+ child takes intentional work. We've navigated difficult conversations about faith and identity, nearly lost our son's trust, and are still discovering the spiritual trauma he experienced. Understanding his pain has helped us see why the first years were so difficult for our family.

We're here to help you avoid common mistakes Christian parents make when their child comes out. Through our experience supporting LGBTQ+ families, we'll share practical guidance on maintaining your faith while creating a safe, loving home—and help you recognize warning signs of family estrangement before it's too late.

Inviting parents and children to the table with open hearts, my deepest desire is to safeguard relationships by bridging the gaps between understanding Biblical promises, gospel love and the LGBTQ+ community.
